The future of democracy has become more uncertain worldwide and is widely discussed. In Austria, too, public trust in democratic institutions has clearly declined over the past 10 years.
Strengthening democracy
Therefore, SORA has launched the Austrian Democracy Monitor as a time-series study providing an annual benchmark to measure democratic attitudes and practices.
The Monitor is published each year in fall, with the first measurement in 2018.
